Bedford Athletic secured a convincing 36-7 victory against Old Coventrians in their Regional Two Midlands East rugby match, marking a return to winning form. The visitors dominated from the outset, with tactical kicking by half backs Zac Tester and Beau Stenson setting the tone. Early tries by hooker Charlie Darlow and winger Will Edmunds established a strong lead, which Bedford Athletic maintained throughout the game despite challenging weather conditions.
The forward pack's control was pivotal, enabling further tries and a bonus point win that keeps Bedford Athletic in the league's top four after five rounds. Old Coventrians managed a single try through centre Luke Ireland but were otherwise unable to challenge the visitors. Bedford Athletic will next face Hinckley 2nd XV at Putnoe Woods, aiming to continue their strong start to the season.
