Bedford Town FC secured a 2-1 victory away at Scarborough Athletic on 25 October 2026, ending a three-game winless streak and moving up to ninth place in the league. Joe Payne opened the scoring with a free kick in the first half, while George Moncur added a penalty later in the match. Scarborough's William Thornton scored a header to briefly equalise.
The match was contested under challenging weather conditions, with wind and rain intensifying in the second half. Bedford made tactical changes, including introducing loanee Danny Anisjko, and demonstrated resilience in defence during Scarborough's late pressure. The win is significant as it halts Bedford's recent poor run and boosts their league standing.
