A £20,000 reward has been offered by Crimestoppers for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Jinming Zhang, who was found stabbed multiple times in a Birmingham flat in Digbeth on 9 February 2022. The property was reportedly being used as a brothel at the time. West Midlands Police have released CCTV footage of a masked suspect described as a black man in his late 20s, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, wearing dark clothing and a hat.
Police have obtained a DNA sample from the scene, which indicates the suspect is male and likely black, but no match has been found on the national database. The motive is believed to be robbery, though this has not been confirmed. Detective Jenny Birch urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasising that even small details could be crucial to solving the case.
